Our Story
Hi, I'm Sam.
I'm a dad in Arlington, Texas, with enough kids that one load of laundry turns out a pile of white socks in four different sizes, none of them labeled.
One night I was standing over that pile holding two socks that were almost the same size, and I added up how many hours a year I'd spent doing exactly that. It was not a small number.
The fix was simple enough to be annoying: give each size its own color, and make every sock in that size identical to the next one. Then there's no matching step at all. You push the blue ones toward whoever wears blue and you're done.
I couldn't find socks actually built for that — not with construction that survives a school year — so I'm having them made.
Sanity Socks is a family operation. I run it, my wife Heather shoots most of what you'll see of us online, and the kids test everything, mostly by destroying it. If you email us, I'm the one who answers.
It's four colors and a family that got tired of the pile.
